Varada Sethu and Ethan Moorhouse are among the new cast members joining the seventh season of the espionage thriller Slow Horses on Apple TV, as the series delves into a high-stakes government conspiracy.
The upcoming season introduces fresh faces to the world of Slough House while retaining familiar veterans. Apple TV renewed Slow Horses for Season 7 on July 8, 2025, ahead of the fifth season's debut, solidifying its position as a key offering in the platform's dramatic lineup.
Gary Oldman reprises his role as the disheveled spy leader Jackson Lamb, with James Callis returning as Claude Whelan. The narrative centers on the disgraced agents as they confront an internal threat. Apple TV outlines the core conflict, stating that in Season 7, Lamb and his Slow Horses are on a mission to find and neutralize a mole at the heart of the British Government before they can bring down the state.
Tuppence Middleton, Merab Ninidze, and Joshua McGuire also join the ensemble cast for the upcoming episodes. The production team plans to structure the release schedule similarly to previous seasons, with the new installment likely consisting of six episodes.
Fans can expect the new episodes to arrive in Fall 2027, maintaining a steady two-year cadence since the renewal announcement. The series adapts the espionage novels by Mick Herron, effectively translating intricate spy craft and biting workplace satire to the screen, with a total of seven seasons now commissioned.
Filming is underway across various locations in London as the production crew works towards the anticipated Fall 2027 premiere. The spy drama has established itself as one of the platform's longest-running original scripted properties, supporting a diverse slate of international thriller programming for audiences worldwide.
As anticipation builds for Season 7, fans of Slow Horses can look forward to a compelling blend of intrigue, character development, and the signature wit that has defined the series.
